The Importance of tracking your campaign
Google Analytics is powerful tool better understand your investments and identify the results of individual campaigns in real-time, compare the data to previous periods, and plan better investments for the future.
Having all the data in one place makes it easy to compare the different channels.
This is how it works:
- Request access and login
- Add an event
- Create a campaign
- Add new urls for each medium and source
- Implement urls on your campaigns and ads
Dictionary
- CPM (cost per mille): Cost per 1000 expressions of your ad.
- CTR (click through rate|clickrate): Times an add has been clicked devided by number of impression.
- CPC (cost per click) or PPC (pay per click): Cost for every click your ad gained.
- CPA (Cost per action). Pricemodel for digital purchasses of digital ads. You pay for a specific action (click, lead etc).
- CTA (Call to action): Could be text, link, button
- RTB (Real Time Bidding)
